Privacy policy

What is stored, why, and how to make it stop.

This policy explains what Cloudy Upload stores, why, and how to make it stop. It is short because the service does little.

What we store

• The authorization you grant. A refresh token issued by Google when you pick a channel on the consent screen. It is encrypted at rest and is used only to act on that channel on your instruction.
• Basic channel details. Channel id, title, handle and avatar address, so the bot can show you which channel you are publishing to.
• Ids of videos this service uploaded, so it can report their status back to you.
• The video files and thumbnails you send, while they are being processed. They are deleted from our servers within three days of publishing.
• Operational logs of what the service did and when, for diagnosing failures.

What we never store

Google or YouTube passwords, recovery codes, or any credential of that kind. The service has no way to ask for them and no place to put them.

Where it goes

Nowhere. Data is not sold, rented, shared with advertisers, or used to build profiles. It stays on servers operated by the service owner and is used solely to carry out the publishing you asked for.

YouTube API Services

Cloudy Upload uses YouTube API Services. By using it you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and data handled by Google is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke this application's access to your data at any time through the Google security settings page.

How to stop it

Open Google account permissions, find Cloudy Upload and remove access. The stored token becomes useless at that moment. To have the remaining records deleted as well, write to cloudy-upload-support@googlegroups.com and they will be removed.

How long it is kept

The authorization is kept until you withdraw it or ask us to delete it. Video files are deleted within three days of publishing. Logs are rotated and do not contain your credentials.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the bottom of the page changes with it.
